Putting People at The Heart
Harewood Park
Established in 1986 as a nursing care home, Harewood Park is located in the heart of Staffordshire in the tranquil village of Cheadle.
Harewood provides long-term nursing care to individuals with long-standing, chronic mental illness and/or learning disabilities, as well as a more independent model of care and support.
Harewood’s approach to care is a holistic one. The highly-skilled team strive to meet individual needs, while recognising diversity and maintaining dignity for the people in their care.
We specialise in reablement support, working with each resident to develop their skills and achieve their aspirations. Some residents move on to live in their own homes or supported living schemes within the community, others remain at Harewood Park for longer. We always work at a pace that suits the individual.
Feel at Home
A beautiful and spacious home, Harewood has retained many of its’ original features and is set in large, landscaped gardens and outstanding grounds, with seating areas to enjoy the view.

Having moved around various jobs in the industry for many years, Gary came into the care sector later in life, securing a job as a support worker at a local authority day service for adults with learning disabilities. Gary instantly fell in love with his role first gaining his NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Care and then his Learning Disability Nurse training at Keele University in 2010; which he describes as one of his proudest achievements.
Gary has twenty years’ experience working with adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and brain injuries across a range of settings, including secure services,
rehabilitation, residential, supported living and the wider community. He is passionate about improving services. In 2018, Gary was recognised for his commitment by receiving the Good Nurse Award at the Great British Care Awards; another extremely proud moment.
In his spare time, Gary enjoys walks with his French Bulldog (Elfie), eating out and socialising at his local village pub.
Stacey has worked in the care sector since 1998. Starting her career in residential and nursing care, before moving onto community learning disability care, where she became passionate about neurodiversity.
She qualified as a learning disabilities nurse at Keele University in 2011. Since qualifying she has worked in various adult services for learning disability and autism patients with complex needs. Also having worked in health within justice services supporting patients within the criminal justice system who have neurodiverse needs.
Away from work, Stacey understands firsthand how supporting loved ones in dementia care can be difficult for the person and families, so aims to provide our residents at Harewood Park with a high standard of care they deserve.
Stacey is a mother of two and enjoys camping and the great outdoors. She has three British Short Hair cats who are adorable.
